A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

PLEASE NOTE! This is sort of an archival release, and is pretty old/messy.

Update: I have uploaded 1.05 with a VERY experimental autosave feature, which you should only use for last resort . Otherwise,  you the game was intended to be beat in one session.  If it breaks the game, 1.04 is there as well.

Have you ever wanted to vacation on an island where nothing will go wrong?  Where there aren't any plans involving you and two others who came to this island? Where there are no mandatory sunscreen checks?

Tropic Jim's Sweet Island Adventure is a short-ish point and click made in adventure game studio. Read notes, solve puzzles, and uncover what's happening on this totally very unassuming island.

AUDIO REQUIRED, btw.

Also I have no way to make sure linux works. It probably does, but just keep that in mind.

Nice game. I played Tropic Jim when it was released but stopped after a bug in the maintenance.

The bug is gone and this time I *nearly* made it to the end: After I lost to the countdown, I saw a GUI that prompted me to retry but couldn't click on it. The GUI popped early in the game over cutscene.

When I reloaded the autosave, I couldn't click on anything either.

That's a shame because the story was coming to a brillant conclusion.

The puzzles had me scratching my head but in the end I could overcome them without a walkthrough. Just the right balance.

Can't wait to try your other games.

Sorry to hear about the bugs! This game was made in AGS which as far as I know aging kinda poorly. Also I wasn't super familiar with code here. But glad to hear you otherwise liked it! If you're curious, you see both endings here in this video. I do talk in it though.

I set the game for November Pick of the month on AGS. It deserves more attention :-)

One last nitpick: when you click on "Quit", the GUI reads "Are you sure? There is no save" despite the auto-save working.

thank you for the feature! i updated the game to the latest version of AGS and tested the ending- it works again, at least on my computer!

Great game, the puzzle difficulty was well balanced (for my IQ at least lol) and everything fit together very nicely.  The effort put into the characters and cut scenes really makes this game stand out.  Thanks for the fun!

thank you nak!
