Yo, just wanted to say this game was frustrating at points but was so good at the same time! Turning a golf game into a horror game was ballsy but you made it work and thank you for giving peeps the option to have enemies or not if so needed. Keep it up dude. Also your freaking music was good. I loved the ending and your ost on youtube.
Im going to be fully honest, although the game is unique and interesting in its own right. The mechanics of this game are terrible. To begin, the aiming and camera angles are awful ,you can barely aim in the direction you want which makes it frustrating to play. This game should have been made with a 3rd person point of view ,atleast that way you can actually see everything around you.
Unbelievably good. It's a crime that this game is free. I've been sharing it with my friends and watching it get played never gets old. The option to make things easier made the game accessible to my skill-challenged associates and scarier for the friends willing to play with vanilla options. There's a great amount of build-up and the end made everything tie together in the best way. Also, the atmosphere overall is AWESOME. It's an exceedingly enjoyable game, and I hope it inspires more of this genre of horror. I'll make sure to throw money at this dev as soon as I have it.
Great game, you really did a great job of making golf stressful; funnily enough, I think I was a better golfer when I was more concerned with the creepers approaching. It was very therapeutic to reach the end game and get our revenge.
I want to play so badly. The concept sounds so cool, but every time I run the game, it crashes at the loading screen when you get near the rocks next to the fence 😭😭😭
i've uploaded a 1.1 for windows- i found out that the game engine i'm using has an insane bug that i can't fix right now, but 1.1 should be a nice workaround.
Bravo! The golf mechanics are interesting enough to stand on their own. The atmosphere is convincing and tense. The end game was very impressive and thematic. Excellent!
I think the art and animation is just phenomenal. I love the music, and I liked how it interacted with things happening in the environment, especially during the boss battle. I noticed some of the instruments were proximity based and emanated from the enemies themselves which is just a really rad idea.
I do have to say, and I notice some others might agree with me here, the gameplay is a bit frustrating. I think there could have been some more wiggle room or something, perhaps multiple hit points that you can take before having to load a checkpoint? This was in effect during the boss battle. The nature of the golf mechanic turns something genuinely frightening into a tedious chore. Especially during the stay in the light segment, that went way too far with it and made me annoyed haha. It's a shame because I imagine it might keep some players from reaching that knockout ending. But the gameplay idea is bold, and I understand where it's coming from.
Overall, the delightfully weird and imaginative concept alone sold me on the game and on you being an excellent creator! Keep it up! I'm a fan now, after playing Liminal Ranger and then this.
Really unique gameplay experience, the tension in the later holes was insane. Sadly, mixing flu medication and the game wasn't a great experience for me, but I loved what I played of it.
Great atmosphere, and music. Cool idea, i enjoyed it.
The Enemies get really eerie especially when the lighting changes at the 12th hole. The man really loves golfing.
The Pickup - put down mechanic is getting super annoying though, especially when you have to do it often, e.g. in the woods. And maybe save the last used club, so you don't have to grab it everytime, it's 90% going to be the woods(?) club.
And just remove the "i can't look away while grabbing my bag", if you do it often and slightly move off the bag it tells you that. It's just unnecessary, maybe replace it with a box collider, where you can just press r if you are close to the bag. I mean you can grab stuff without looking directly at it IRL.
And the amount of flashes in the woods was a bit headache inducing.
Hard bossfight, a little bit too slow if you're on the far side of the platform when a hand comes.
Other than that, great game, good work in the menu, too. You could already see there, that it's pretty polished!
I really loved this game! I've got so invested in the world and story that makes me want a future update or sequel!
However I got some issues (aside from the game closing when choosing/reseting a level) that could've fixed by small changes and make the game slightly better:
1. Add a aim line and "force meter" while swinging the club, making it more fair and less frustrating (this might be optional if you want).
2. The enemy mechanic was terrifying at first but then became tedious and annoying. This mechanic could've still work as unsettling factor if the time to look lasted a little bit longer.
SEMI-SPOILERY, DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED YET.
I haven't finished the game just yet but I'm already ordering some new pants. My heart just about jumped out of my chest on that hole. Completely changes the pacing and vibe. Super cool game.

Windows, :')

okay, thank you! Hope they solve the bug soon!
Where is the pearl for the grab a pearl achievement?
somewhere you can only reach by jumping. don't fall in the water on the way there!
Ah, need the jump achievement first. Is there a trick to the hole in one achievement or do I just need to GET GOOD AT GOLF (which might be beyond me)

absolutely killed it with the music, atmosphere, gameplay, AND the frights with this game. never played anything like it.
must play for sure.
Is anyone else having an issue with the windows version of the game where it glitches out visually to the point of it being unplayable?
Seems super fun!Just not able ot play rn :
unfortunately i have had one playtester with this issue. i think this is something on the game engines end. what gpu do you have?
I have a GTX 1050, a bit outdated but haven't had any major issues before
The ambient music is REALLY good. Will it ever be available on Bandcamp or something?
thank you, and yes! it is on bandcamp and will be on streaming some point soonish.
